Holiday Programs
We are so excited to welcome you into our new clinic
We know changes in routine and environment can sometimes feel like a big deal — often for parents even more than for the kids. The good news is: your child will still be supported by the same familiar CHATS team, with the same warm, predictable approach — just in a new location.
New location (please read before you arrive)
585 Grimshaw Street
Entry & parking: Please enter via Doidge Street to access our parking area.
Very limited spots (smaller groups this round)
Because we’re still settling in after the move, we’re running reduced group sizes — which means there are very limited places available across our holiday sessions. If you’d like your child to join us, we recommend booking as soon as you can to avoid missing out.
Therapist approval required
To make sure each group is the right fit and everyone has a positive experience, your child’s therapist will need to approve that your child is suitable for any of these programs. If you’re unsure, just let us know and we’ll check in with their therapist before confirming a place.
Helping your child feel ready for the new clinic (simple ideas)
If your child tends to worry about change (or if you do!), these strategies can really help:
Keep the explanation short and confident“CHATS is in a new building now, but it’s the same people and the same fun groups.”
Preview what will stay the sameTalk about the familiar parts: friendly staff, group routines, favourite activities, and that you’ll still arrive and leave the same way.
Show them the plan (before the day)You might say: “First we drive there, then we park, then we walk in, then group starts.”(Kids often feel calmer when they know the sequence.)
Do a quick practice run if you canIf you’re nearby, a drive past or a quick look at the building/parking entry can make the first day feel much more predictable.
Use a simple transition objectA small item in their pocket/bag (fidget, keyring, comfort item) can help with settling in.
Name the feeling + reassure“It’s okay to feel a bit unsure. New places can feel different at first — and we’ll figure it out together.”
A gentle reminder for parents: kids often take their cue from us. A calm, matter-of-fact tone can make a huge difference.
